A Chiropractor Right Across the Loop From Garden Oaks
Garden Oaks is one of those Houston neighborhoods people fall in love with and never leave — the curvilinear streets laid out back in 1937, the towering pines and oaks, the wide deed-restricted lots, and the easy walk to the Sue Barnett esplanade or Garden Oaks Montessori. For all that charm, it sits in a genuinely convenient spot: directly north of the 610 North Loop, between Ella Blvd and N Shepherd Dr. That is the same stretch of freeway our office is built on, which makes Heights Chiropractic Center one of the closest chiropractic offices you have.
Dr. Aaron Dushkin, D.C., owns and runs the practice, and he is the only doctor here. When you come in from Garden Oaks, the person who listens to your history is the same person who adjusts you and follows your progress. No handoffs, no rotating providers. For a neighborhood that values its established, long-term feel, that continuity tends to land well.
The drive is short on purpose
From most of Garden Oaks you simply head south — down N Shepherd Dr or Ella Blvd — to the North Loop West feeder, hop on Interstate 610 heading west, and our 11-story building at 1225 N Loop W is right there on the south side of the freeway. Park in the garage, come up to Ste #120, and you are done. The whole thing usually runs about 7 minutes, roughly 2 miles. That short trip is the point: when your back has locked up or a headache is building, the last thing you want is a cross-town haul.
What we tend to see from Garden Oaks
Those famous Garden Oaks lots — a median around 12,000 square feet — are beautiful and a lot of work. Raking pecans, hauling mulch, and weekend yard projects are honest sources of back pain and sciatica. Add the desk hours that come with most jobs and the short-but-real Loop commute, and we also see plenty of neck pain, poor posture, and tension-driven headaches and migraines walking through the door.
Care starts with chiropractic care tailored to what your exam shows. If you prefer a gentler, instrument-assisted adjustment, Dr. Dushkin offers the Activator Method, and for disc-related or radiating complaints, flexion-distraction is a low-force option. We also use laser therapy to calm inflamed, irritated tissue, and once you are feeling steady, wellness care helps keep you there between yard seasons.

Why Garden Oaks chooses Heights Chiropractic Center
Garden Oaks is one of our closest neighborhoods. Our office at 1225 N Loop W is right on the south side of the North Loop, so whether you live near Sue Barnett Drive, off Alba Road, or in the newer sections toward W 43rd, you can be in the chair and back home before a long errand would have ended. That short hop matters when you are managing a flare-up and do not want a cross-town commute on top of it.
Dr. Dushkin is the only doctor here, so the person who reviews your history is the same person who adjusts you and tracks your progress over time. Those big Garden Oaks lots come with big yards, mature pecans and oaks, and the weekend work they create. We see a lot of that here, and we build care around how you actually spend your days rather than a one-size plan.
